Seaside Visit - 24th June 2014

Foundation Stage Visit - June 24th

We went to the seaside!

At 8.45 the coach came to collect us and we headed to Weston Super Mare. Everyone was really, really excited!   The children all did really well on the coach, remembering to wear their seat belts and we didn't even need to stop for a comfort break!

The driver of the coach was bonkers, he had the children singing songs and playing games to make the journey go quicker.

When we arrived we emptied the bus and the children helped to carry all of the luggage to the beach.

On the beach we set up a camp with cones, as the safe area and had a tent and a windbreak wall to create our space. Everyone took off their shoes and socks and the fun began.

We played football, cricket, boules, giant frisbee and even had time to make sandcastles and see if we could bury each other.

We even went for a paddle - in the mud!

Everyone enjoyed their picnic lunch, even the seagulls were interested.  We remembered to drink lots and to reapply our sun cream.  After lunch there was time for even more playing before Mrs Scovell and Miss Stone bought everyone an ice-cream, which was yummy!
