Our School Ducks

Violet and Indigo

Our school ducks were hatched by Chicks and Ducklings class in 2023. After a school wide vote for names, we home Violet and Indigo in Duckingham Palace, between the KS1 and KS2 buildings. You can visit Violet and Indigo before and after school and they love to hear all your news. 

We are very grateful for the donations made by our school community which have allowed us to home and continue to care for our ducks. We believe they bring a sense of responsibility, care and compassion to our school community, as well as a sense of wellbeing and belonging. 

We think Indigo is a boy, and Violet is a girl, but we're not too sure. They love to eat snails and enjoy a freshwater paddle in their pool.
