Welly Walk - February 2013
Welly Walk
On Tuesday morning the children in the Ducklings and the Chicks classes all put on their wellies and took part in our sponsored walk.
Luckily the weather was on our side and we had a great day for the walk.
We set off from school at 9.20 and walked to the park with the aeroplane in. Along the way we looked after our partners, listened beautifully to instructions and represented Gateway School perfectly.
When we got to the park the children had an amazing time, playing, climbing, and balancing in the park. Lots of children enjoyed being pilots in the cockpit and everyone had loads of fun.
We were sad when it was time to start walking again, we could have stayed all day if we had the chance. On the way back we stopped in another park for our snack and another quick play before needing to head back to school. We didn't get back until 11.30, so we did a lot of walking.
We now need to collect in our Sponsor money as quickly as we can so that we can reap the benefits of all of our efforts, and have some new toys outside.
